Partners
Reach to Teach is proud to have partnered with the London School of Economics and Political Sciences in 2018 to design strategies and training for the ECP program, drawing from LSE's expertise in behavioural science and behaviour change. By partnering with LSE, Reach to Teach was able to better understand and diagnose the obstacles in Government-Teacher (GT) and Headteacher (HT) behaviour change and create impactful context-specific interventions to influence and sustain positive behaviour through its development programmes in Gujarat, India. Key lessons from behavioural science also featured in the training for the Reach to Teach staff in order to enable them to identify behaviour change opportunities when working with GTs, HTs and Cluster Resource Coordinators (CRCs).

Dr. Kate Laffan - Visiting Fellow, Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science at LSE led this program. In her words:

The goal of this project is to embed the latest insights in behaviour change from psychology, economics and sociology, and best-practise in behaviour measurement into Reach to Teach’s practices and programmes. Together, with the Reach to Teach's Senior Education Team and the Strategic Planning and Performance Team, we have explored the behaviour change challenges and opportunities that are central to Reach to Teach's work and generated context-specific recommendations aimed at encouraging sustainable changes in practice that will yield positive educational outcomes for students in the long-run.*
